Mr. Samuel B. "Buddy" Crenshaw, 76, of Lancaster, died Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Springs Memorial Hospital.
Born February 27, 1934 in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Thomas Edward Crenshaw and the late Mettie Stacks Crenshaw. Mr. Crenshaw was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Cedar Creek Fishing Club. He worked for many years in the Lancaster area as a self-employed painter. Mr. Crenshaw was preceded in death by 3 daughters, Debbie, Cindy, and Cathy.
Survivors include his sister, Marcene Sinclair and her husband Claude of Lancaster; son, Samuel B. Crenshaw, Jr. of Kershaw; former wife, Evelyn Crenshaw of Lancaster; step-children, Betty Starnes and her husband Glen of Lancaster, Steve Garris, also of Lancaster, Lois Clawson of Louisville, KY, and Billy Ray Douglas of Florence, SC; 9 grandchildren, including a special granddaughter, Crystal Roof; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mahaffey Funeral Home & Cremation Center with The Reverend Howard Penegar and The Reverend Carl Williams officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests that those who wish may make donations to the American Cancer Society, 339 Main Street, Camden, SC 29020 in memory of Mr. Crenshaw.
