I'm Not a Doctor . . . but I Play one at Church
Whenever I have been faced with a challenge or struggled with a problem . . . I have always believed that Knowledge was, or could be, my best weapon to insure success or victory. I have never felt that I had the instinct or intuition to fly by the seat of my pants or run full steam ahead solely on emotion and heart. So, for the past 6-9 months I have been studying all of the best information and teaching that I could find about health, nutrition, and weight loss. I'm not just overweight . . . my health is poor, and I (and my Physician) noticed that I was getting heavier, and in poorer health as I grew each year older. So, I am not just tired of being fat . . . I'm tired of the ill health that my obesity has brought into my life. I'm not a medical doctor (though a ministerial one) but, if you are interested in reading a success story in progress, then, here is mine! Do not take my words, experiences, or my example as bearing incontrovertible scientific and medical truth. I am just sharing MY story . . . and what seems to be true for me. If anything helps you, I am grateful. If you are a weight-loss expert or a medical practitioner and you disagree with or disapprove of the LCHF (Low Carbohydrate High Fat) nutrition lifestyle . . . I don't want to debate with you unless you can refute the current research (below). I KNOW that there are many who criticize this life-health approach and I am not interested in hearing their contradictory advice (I have read 1000's of their pages) . . . if they have any - I am only interested in their refutation of the NEW science and research that is coming out NOW about health and nutrition. For the most part, I am not giving or posting medical or nutritional advice or prescription. I am having great success in following the path that I am on . . . and I am only sharing with anyone who is interested what is working for ME! I am not suffering any ill effects from my food choices at this time. I know that wrong choices may bear fruit in the future, but I am monitoring my health very carefully for any signs of trouble. |
